Out-of-Network Billing & Payment Policy

At Little Heroes we strive to provide timely testing and treatment in the most accessible manner possible. However, due to the high number of missing payments and/or extremely slow processing time for claims, effective May 1, 2024 all families using health insurances that are out-of-network with Little Heroes must pay out-of-pocket on the day of service for their appointments. We will still submit claims to your out-of-network insurance, and once we have received reimbursement, we will reimburse you. We still maintain our policy that Little Heroes will balance bill if reimbursements are too low to sustain our clinic.

Families whom this new policy impacts will be required to sign a statement that they understand and agree to this new policy. We are unable to continue providing services to families who are unable to do so, and we will strive to provide referrals to other clinics/professionals who may be able to offer services as an alternative.

We apologize for any interruption to services this new policy creates for families. We care about your children, but we must be able to sustain a business which allows for continued treatment to all who need our help.

No-call, No-show, Late-cancel Policy

Little Heroes is growing and hiring new employees to help with the operations of our clinic! For the history of our clinic, Little Heroes has had in place a no-call, no-show, late-cancel policy stating that appointments not rescheduled or canceled 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time will incur a $50.00 fee. We have historically been lenient with these cases. Effective immediately, Little Heroes will consistently charge or bill a $50.00 fee to all families who do not reschedule or cancel their appointment 24 hours before their scheduled appointment time.

We understand that children can become sick. In such cases, families must call first thing in the morning on the day of the appointment to inform our staff to avoid the $50.00 fee. We will no longer allow flexibility to families who call and cancel due to sickness within an hour of a scheduled appointment. For families with scheduled appointments at the first of the day, we strongly encourage you to make your own assessments of your child’s health the night before and leave a voice message on our scheduling line if you need to cancel due to sickness.
