Payment Policies

We are in-network providers with the following health insurance plans:
  • SelectHealth
  • Cigna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • EMI Health
If we are not an in-network provider, we are still able to offer services through private-pay or bill your insurance as an out-of-network provider. Please note that we do not accept $0.00 as an acceptable payment, and as we are not under contract with out-of-network payers, we will balance bill the patient responsibility to the equivalent of self-pay plus a $75.00 administration fee.

For families paying out-of-pocket, the cheapest option is to always pay on the day of service. However, we understand that sometimes full payments are not feasible. Please speak with our office manager to discuss payment options. We do not offer payment options for the purchases of hearing aids, which must be paid in full on the day of hearing aid fitting. Payment plans include a $75.00 administration fee. In addition, we can assist patients in applying for CareCredit to cover services.

We do not bill insurances for hypnosis services and payment must be made in full at the time of appointment.  Hypnosis is an HSA Eligible service.

We are not enrolled with State Medicaid! If you have a commercial Medicaid plan through SelectHealth (SelectHealth Community Care), we are able to bill assessments only. We are not able to bill any other Medicaid plan, including SelectHealth Community Care, for aural rehabilitation.

Explanation of Costs and Billing

At Little Heroes we believe all costs associated with your child’s care should be clear up front. Whether your child is coming in for an initial visit, hearing aids, or follow-up care/therapy, you should not be surprised by the bill. All our service costs are posted below and are based on appointment type/service and payment method. We are happy to go over the exact cost of your visit with you so there are never any surprise costs.

Please note that we are a health care office, and as such will bill office visit codes in addition to procedural codes. If you are seen by a provider, you will be billed, as minimum, an office visit.

We do accept HSA and all our services are HSA approved.

HEARING AIDS

Hearing aids are a tricky ball game! In most cases, hearing aids are NOT covered by insurance. When they are, insurances often required a specific degree of hearing loss. In almost all cases of central auditory processing disorders, hearing aids will not be covered by your health insurance. Recently, hearing aid manufacturers increased their cost of hearing aids nationwide. Our current costs of hearing aids are being evaluated, and an updated list will be provided soon.
